Weekend courses at the university level help your career
Thinking about taking college courses, but can't figure out
how to get it into your busy day time schedule? Some colleges offer
what's commonly called 'weekend college' which provides highly
specific skilled training for working professionals. Classes typically
run for four hours on Friday evenings, and six hours on a Saturday.
The program generally runs about thirty to forty weeks. Every program
is offered for credit, and financial aid is available for those who
qualify.
There are four main career areas that weekend courses can easily be
found in, including business, computers, health, and legal.
Currently, there are two programs that are being offered at Pioneer Pacific College: Website Design & Administration, in the computer department, and a specialist in Microsoft Office Specialist, in the business department.
Of course, these are just two examples of weekend college programs
that are available in the Portland area right now, and odds are that
you can find more by looking around.
Keep in mind, some of these programs provide advanced and not entry
level skills, so that there are specific requirements and or prerequisites
for each program.
When you fill out the Pioneer Pacific College informational request form, this information will be made available, and any questions you have will answered.
